Salad from the garden

Fresh from your own garden

With just a few simple steps, you can conjure up a fresh salad from the ingredients in your garden. The only important thing to consider when choosing leaves is how long they have been on the tree. The younger the leaves, the less bitter and all the heartier your salad will be.

You will need

  • a large bowl and a chopping board.

Ingredients

  • 3 handfuls of young leaves
  • lime, beech, apple, blackberry or raspberry, maybe supplement with lamb’s lettuce or rocket
  • 1 onion
  • oil
  • salt
  • honey
  • optional: 2 hard-boiled eggs

Preparation

Mix the herbs, oil, and finely chopped onion with the salt and honey to make a marinade. Divide the eggs into eighths and add to the washed leaves and finally drizzle with the marinade.
